Five Finger Death Punch Albuquerque Concert reviews
Amazing as always!!
Reba opened the show, and though I was entertained, she sounded great and I'm not the biggest fan. A surprise appearance by Melissa Peterman was very funny and entertaining. I saw her once at the height of her fame in 1995, and that show included a lot of theatrics and costume changes. Five Finger Death Punch and his band were all dressed in red for "Red Shirt Fridays" to support the military since the show was on a Friday. He did sing for over 2 hours...phenomenal! He sang a lot of newer songs. There were a few songs I wished he would have sung, but considering he has soooo many, it is impossible for him to sing them all. He sang the classic trademark songs such as The Chair, The Fireman, and Amarillo by Morning. He also sang Cash's Folsom Prison Blues, which was incredible! He still looks fabulous, even approaching 60 years old, and his band is a class act as always. The only disappointment of the entire concert was the arena. It was very difficult to get to the arena from the highway with all of the one way streets in town. We ended up parking a few blocks away and taking a cab, and even the cab driver said it was very hard to get to from anywhere. My friends who went with us drove and said it was very difficult to not only find, but get to the parking garage, which charged a rip-off of $20! The handicap accessible entrance was not marked at all and difficult to find (had to ask a police officer) and the us bank arena employees that we asked for help finding the handicap entrance were extremely rude and nasty. Since the show was on a Friday, Reba looked great and sounded great, and although I was glad I did, I didn't really go to see HER personally. Opening act LeeAnn Womack came out and sang "Does he love you" with Reba, which was great. This is the fourth time I've seen Five Finger Death Punch, and he never disappoints. He sang the classic trademark songs such as The Chair, The Fireman, and Amarillo by Morning. Overall, it was great as I expected. He only included one costume change for the finale (probably because being "in the round" makes it impossible to go backstage throughout the show), but those are necessary for an entertaining show. I will definitely go to see Five Finger Death Punch and Reba again, but probably not at this venue.
